Monarch Market by Crescent Communities: Reviews & Ratings
Great experience here! This is a great food court with a bar in the middle. There is plenty of seating and about 10 fast casual restaurants around to eat from. There is a good variety of food from sushi to burgers to Korean to kebabs. The restaurants are charging about 15-20 for one person dinner. We will definitely be coming back!
We visited Monarch Market this past weekend and wow! This is such a cool place with an indoor and outdoor bar, room for outdoor seating and excellent margaritas. Can’t wait for summer and slurp on a drink after work. We walked around and see all the different food stall and noticed the high prices. I understand the cost of food went up, however it won’t be a good 9-5 option from Monday through Friday. $20 for a weekday lunch is not sustainable. However we had curry gate, and it was just as good as the original curry gate and the price was very reasonable. My Palak Paneer with jasmine rice was $12. It will definitely a go to place for a drink and once in a while for a special lunch.
Great variety of places to try in here! I tried the monday combo ($17) from off the hook and my boyfriend got the double smash burger ($23 with drink) from the place right next to it. Both tasted amazing and were very flavorful. Only complaint would be the portions being a little small for the price. Definitely would come back and try a new place in here, it was very clean!
OFF THE HOOK: We bought a fish taco (cod fish) and the Monday duo. The food was delicious. Shrimp , fries and fish cooked perfectly. Sanitation score 98 in Aug 2025. Service was just ok, but I would still consider returning. His attitude was very nonchalant. Maybe he was filling in for someone that day, but he knew how to prepare the food, wearing gloves too. That's a plus.
Our first lunch visit. We walked the options and settled on Barley and Burger. The wait time from joining the line, ordering, and getting the food was decent but keep in mind it was a Friday holiday. I got the Truffle Shuffle and fried pickles.Yum! As others have rightly pointed out, come prepared to pay above average prices and how much you get to enjoy the environment may depend on when you make the trek. I think it will be worth the occasional walk for us. *Another visit. Kuya Omakase and their rainbow roll. We've learned to order online and pick it up at the concierge. *Another visit. Off the Hook and their Seafood Grilled Cheese. YUM. Shrimp, crab and a house blend of cheese.
Lovely collection of restaurants with many flavors in which to choose. All taste present. Ate my delish salad and luscious cookie, then sat outside in crisp 60° temp watching the passersby.
This place is fantastic. My son is still talking about the burger he had and I had an amazing salad. So many places and exciting dishes to choose from. It is essentially a fancy food court to me, which gives plenty of eating options. Unfortunately I only took a picture of my salad to share that was alongside a sandwich.
Absolutely beautiful new food market with multiple restaurants under one roof. Great place to unwind with friends or solo. However be warned, food definitely isn’t cheap but guess that’s the way of the world we’re in now. I tried the burger place and for burger/fries and NO drink came up to $25 because everything sold separately. I looked at the menu for the seafood place in there and a lobster roll was abt $28 I believe with no side. So for sure come prepared to spend some money no matter where you chose to eat. I went early on a Saturday morning before a show at Belk Theater so wasn’t a crowd at all which I loved but I can imagine it can get packed later it gets especially on the wkend. I did try the open air bar too right out front which is really nice on a beautiful day to enjoy a beverage while people watching the street.
